Our Story
Even while playing dress-up as a child, Charithma Wijesundara was looking for ways to put her own spin on the clothes she wore. Constantly balancing the latest trends in fashion while respecting the more traditional culture in Sri Lanka.
While pursuing her degree at Macquarie University, Sydney, Charithma began to experiment with different styles and fabrics. She continued her journey in fashion by working in the clothing department at one of Australia’s largest department stores. It was here that she got a backstage peek into the fashion retail industry.
With her parents' support, Charithma launched AriEllė in 2023, with plans to open her first store at the Havelock City Mall. Charithma hopes to share her passion for design and her eye for style with the world with AriEllė.
AriEllė fills the gap in the market for modest clothing that’s still in vogue. Our brand celebrates contemporary styles and techniques while paying homage to the rich heritage of Sri Lanka’s traditional art forms. Every piece in our collection is crafted with care, balancing comfort, style, and versatility to help you always look and feel your best.
